Quilting Group
The Peacemakers group
meets regularly and handcrafts beautiful quilts.
You might even be lucky enough to win one of these
masterpieces during the Sizzling Summer Brunch raffle!
The Peacemakers meet every
second and fourth Thursday in the Preschool Room at the
Church. |

Circles
Several groups gather
monthly to share fellowship and become closer to God.
Deborah Circle
meets every third Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the
Fellowship Hall.
Rebekah Circle
meets every fourth Thursday at 9:00 a.m. in the
Fellowship Hall.
Mary Circle
meets every fourth Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Elkader
Meal Site. |

Stephen
Ministry
Several Peace Church members have been
trained as Stephen Ministers.
|
|
Stephen Ministers go through 50 hours of training,
regular continuing education, and twice-monthly small
group peer supervision. They are trained caregivers.
They have skills in active listening, dealing with
feelings, Christian caregiving, setting boundaries,
relating assertively, process-oriented caring, crisis
intervention, and ministering in a wide range of
situations.

Adult Bible
Study Groups
Every Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. a
group of adults enjoy studying and discussing the Bible.

Waffle Brunch
Fundraiser
Each June Peace Church
sponsors a "Dad's Belgian Waffles" brunch. |

The brunch
is coupled with a Sizzling Summer Garden Sale that showcases
garden items. This is the only fundraiser and all
members are encouraged to assist in making it a success.
This serves as a grand time for fellowship for church
members and the entire community. |

Other Community Groups
Because many members of Peace
Church are active in the life of Elkader and surrounding
communities our building is used often. You'll see Boy
Scouts, Girl Scouts, Kindergarten Registration, Foster Care
and a variety of musical groups utilizing the church.
